The Brooklyn College Computer Science Club is Brooklyn College’s premier student-led, community-first computer science community where students interested in technology come together to learn and grow in a safe, warm, and welcoming environment. Together as a community, we share our knowledge and offer advice to each other, form teams to build projects and attend hackathons with, discuss the latest trends and technologies, and more!
The best and most innovative software engineers, data scientists, and UX/UI designers all started from somewhere! We welcome members of all skill levels and fields, ranging from complete beginner developers to the most seasoned designers. Our welcoming community is here to help you if you’re new to the world of computer science! Whether you need help with an assignment, want some advice about your career, or simply want to learn more about the field, our friendly community members can help point you in the right direction.
No matter what your current programming experience is or whether you’re planning on majoring in computer science or not, there’s a place for you here at the Brooklyn College Computer Science Club.
Here at the Computer Science Club, there’s no shortage of things to do and activities to participate in. Here are just some of the things that you might see us doing!
Join us for a wide variety of events, ranging from tech talks, workshops, challenges, and much more (not to mention free food as well!). Some of our past events included a company visit to LinkedIn, a presentation about the evolution of the latest and greatest web frameworks, and a talk about how Alan Turing, widely considered to be the forefather of computer science, broke a secret code using cryptography.
Many of our club members love to attend hackathons, which are weekend-long events where people interested in technology learn, build, and share their ideas and creations. Find some team members and build your next hackathon team here!
Our club is proud to be home to winners from various hackathons held across the country, including some hosted by Cornell University, Stony Brook University, and Johns Hopkins University.
We also have our very own hackathon as well! In collaboration with other clubs here at Brooklyn College, we are proud to host Hack Brooklyn, our very own hackathon, right here at Brooklyn College! Look forward to it this coming spring.
Events aren't the only thing we do here! Our club members love to build their portfolios and work on passion projects in their free time. Looking for a team to build a project with or want to practice your whiteboarding and interviewing skills in a mock interview with someone? Look no further!

Hi! I'm Dennis, a Computer Science student at Brooklyn College. I'm trying to write code that will make the world a better place one day!
I'm a student studying Computational Math with a minor Physics. My interests are reading, traveling, and long boarding.
In my free time I attend hackathons and sleep. If you want to talk about hackathons and what they are or just want to talk tech, come say hi!
I'm a Brooklyn College alumni interested in baking, movies and meditation!
On top of my passion for coding I also enjoy videogames, starting but never finishing Netflix series, playing boardgames, and hanging out with my friends.
I love wrestling, biking, video games and WWII planes. If any one of you wanna talk about video games or planes I'd be psyched to do so.
